God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10
We have numerous opportunities here at Riversgate to get involved and use your gifts to serve others.
KIDS
After worship the kids go downstairs for a great time of learning about Jesus, games & fun activities, music, and more! As more people continue to come back to church there is a greater need and more opportunities for people to serve in this ministry. We currently have opportunities with Littles (0-3), Explorers (3-K), and Trailblazers (Elementary). If you would like to serve or have any questions email Children’s Coordinator, Amy Pummel at amy@riversgate.net
youth
The Youth meet on Sunday nights at the church for worship, fun/games, and message (followed by small group discussion). Middle School (6th-8th grade) meets from 5-6:30pm and High School (9th-12th grade) meets from 7-8:30pm. They also go on retreats and camps together throughout the year. We currently have opportunities to serve in this ministry! If you have a heart for the Youth or have any questions email Youth Director, Justin Curtiss at justin@riversgate.net.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS-GREETERS-HOSPITALITY
One of the most important things to us is that people feel welcome and noticed when they walk into the church building! If you are a friendly people person this would be a great place for you to serve. This may also include making coffee, giving handouts, as well as answering questions for people. For more information email Administrative Pastor, Diane Brown at diane@riversgate.net
CARE MINISTRY
We want to care and provide for those who are in the hospital, going through a difficult time, just gave birth, or other critical life events. Our desire is to be a community that cares for and surrounds people. This could be a meal train, visitations, or praying with/for someone. If you have a heart to serve, or even lead in this capacity, please let us know. You can email jeremy@riversgate.net or diane@riversgate.net
COMPASSION - HOSPITALITY
safe families
Safe Families for Children hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports for families facing a crisis through a community of compassionate volunteers to keep children safe and families together.. We are currently looking for people willing to Host, as well as people willing to support the ministry in different ways! For more info visit www.riversgate.net/safe-families or email Marissa Carpenter at marissa@riversgate.net
HOMEPDX
Riversgate is privileged to partner with Pastor Bruce and the HomePDX team to bring meals to the houseless community in Portland. Every meal that is prepared, served, or delivered, not only provides a basic need, but also creates an opportunity to add value through conversation and relationship. We prepare and serve a warm meal the 3rd Sunday of each month downtown on the Eastside by the Hawthorne Bridge. We also at different times collect needed and useful items for those living on the streets. For more info visit homepdx.net or email Pastor Diane Brown at diane@riversgate.net
